Project context
New Stratus Energy is an independent operator of mature oil fields in Ecuador, listed on the TSX Venture Exchange (Toronto). After acquiring producing assets in the country's eastern basin, the company needed to launch operations with its own financial and operational core — fully independent from the previous owner's ERP — on a demanding timeline and with IT teams distributed between Quito and the field.
The challenge
The challenge was to stand up a full enterprise ERP without halting production or losing financial visibility for the Toronto headquarters:
Separate accounting and operational systems from the previous owner's ERP within the asset transfer timeline.
Enable real-time consolidated reporting for investors and Toronto headquarters from day one.
Onboard distributed users (Quito office + production field) on an elastic platform without investing in physical infrastructure.
